Arsenal predicted line-up against Brentford
Arsenal will be travelling to the Gtech Community Stadium to face off against Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
The Gunners are currently third in the table with 27 points from 12 games, sitting only one point behind the league leaders Manchester City. So, a victory in this encounter means the Emirates club will place themselves at the summit of the league if the Citizens draw against Liverpool in their game tomorrow.
Mikel Arteta’s side managed to thrash the Bees last term in this fixture and the North Londoners will be hoping that they will be able to replicate the same performance tomorrow.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Brentford
David Raya has joined Arsenal on a loan deal from Brentford so he isn’t eligible to play against his parent club. Therefore, Aaron Ramsdale is set to start in goal and this will be his first league appearance for the North Lonon club since the victory over Manchester United.
William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are expected to continue in defence for the Gunners, while Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko could commence in either fullback position. White was sidelined in the previous game before the international break due to an injury and Arteta has revealed that he could return this weekend.
In that case, Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu will have to settle for a place on the bench. Jurrien Timber remains sidelined owing to a serious knee issue.
Thomas Partey is unavailable for selection due to injury so Declan Rice could start in the deep-lying playmaker position. Martin Odegaard should return to the starting eleven after recovering from his injury, while Kai Havertz could complete the midfield trio for the North London club.
So, Jorginho will have to make do with a place on the bench. Emile Smith Rowe is set to remain sidelined due to injury problems, while Fabio Vieira is suspended for the next three league games having picked up a red card last time out.
Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka will commence on the flanks, while Gabriel Jesus should return after recovering from his injury. He is expected to be in the centre-forward position so, Leandro Trossard, Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson are likely to start on the bench for Arsenal tomorrow.
