Confirmed line-ups: Brentford vs Arsenal – Odegaard, Jesus and Trossard all start
Arsenal can move top of the Premier League table with a win over Brentford at the Tech Community Stadium this evening.
Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool earlier today means the Gunners can leapfrog their rivals and go one point clear at the top with a win against the Bees.
Mikel Arteta is without number one goalkeeper David Raya as he can’t play against his parent club. Therefore, Aaron Ramsdale is recalled to start between the sticks for Arsenal this evening.
Ben White returns from a knock that kept him out of the win over Burnley two weeks ago. However, he has to settle for a place on the bench with Takehiro Tomiyasu starting at right-back. William Saliba is once again partnered by Gabriel Magalhaes in the middle of defence while Oleksandr Zinchenko is at left-back.
Declan Rice starts in midfield once again and he’ll be looking to continue his fine form. Martin Odegaard is back to skipper Arsenal after recovering from a concussion that kept him out of the last two games before the international break.
Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli start on the wings for the Gunners while Gabriel Jesus is recalled to start up front after making his return from injury with Brazil last week.
Leandro Trossard also keeps his place in a very attack-minded Arsenal team. Kai Havertz is named on the bench along with Jorginho and Eddie Nketiah.
Here are the line-ups:
