Arteta full of praise for Arsenal star Bukayo Saka
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has heaped praise on Bukayo Saka during the press-conference ahead of the game against Luton Town.
After coming through the Hale End academy, the 22-year-old has established himself as a key player in the Gunners’ first eleven over the last few years.
The forward is deemed one of the best young talents in the world and has been showing signs that he could help the North London club achieve their lofty ambitions in the future.
Saka is set to make his 200th appearance for his boyhood club versus Luton tonight and Arteta was asked to give his verdict about the youngster’s impending achievement in the presser. The Spaniard has said it’s really impressive that Saka is set to make that at such a young age and this shows how consistent he has been in recent years.
Saka receives plaudits from Arteta
Arteta said:
“That’s not bad at his age! It’s gone really fast but it shows again the consistency and the availability that he has had over the last few years. It has been tremendous and the impact that he’s had in the team has been really positive.
“It’s like watching a kid raise, and get older, mature and evolve. And he still has the same humility and willingness to get better and better and get to know the people close to him in his life, and the impact they have on him.
“All the academy people who worked with him as well over the years to make him the player he is today, they have to take a huge compliment of who Bukayo is today. And then let him be. Bukayo is a special guy, we have him with us hopefully for many years to come.”
Saka has enjoyed a promising start this season, scoring eight goals and registering 10 assists in 20 appearances in all competitions. The Gunners have had a stellar campaign so far, and the youngster has been playing a pivotal role in Arteta’s starting eleven.
So, the North Londoners will be hoping that Saka will be able to continue showcasing his best over the coming months and will help his side win silverware at the end of this season.
