Arsenal need a win to regain top spot in the Premier League table when we take on Aston Villa at Villa Park this evening.

Mikel Arteta has made just one change from the side that beat Luton last time out. Oleksandr Zinchenko is recalled to start at left-back with Jacub Kiwior dropping to the bench.

David Raya came under huge criticism for his part in two of Luton’s goals in midweek leading to many fans calling for Aaron Ramsdale to be recalled. However, Arteta has kept faith with Raya as he retains the gloves this evening.

Ben White starts once again at right-back with Takehiro Tomiyasu ruled out for a few weeks with a calf injury. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes continue their impressive partnership together in the middle of Arsenal’s defence.

Declan Rice will be looking to continue his sensational form in midfield while Martin Odegaard captains Arsenal once again. The Norwegian international has been in terrific form lately so hopefully he can put in another top display tonight.

Kai Havertz starts once again having scored four goals in his last five games. Bukayo Saka starts again on the right flank while Gabriel Martinelli keeps his place.

Gabriel Jesus leads the line up front for Arsenal so Eddie Nketiah remains on the bench. Leandro Trossard also has to make do with a place among the substitutes.

These are the teams:
