Arsenal predicted line-up vs PSV Eindhoven
Arsenal will be travelling to Philips Stadion to take on PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
The Gunners have already secured their place in the knockout stage of this competition as a group leader. So, Mikel Arteta’s side don’t have anything to play for in this fixture.
On the other hand, PSV are also in a similar situation as they have already qualified for the knockout stage as a second-placed team from this group.
However, having endured a disappointing defeat against Aston Villa last weekend, Arsenal will be desperate to return to winning ways by defeating Peter Bosz’s side tomorrow.
PSV were heavily defeated by Arsenal in the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium so PSV will be looking to take revenge for that defeat tomorrow. Therefore, Arsenal will have to showcase their best to come away with all three points from Philips Stadion.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs PSV Eindhoven
Arteta might use this game as an option to rotate his squad and give his first-team players a breather amid a busy period. So, Aaron Ramsdale could start in goal for Arsenal tomorrow, giving David Raya a midweek off.
William Saliba could continue in defence and he could be paired up with Jakub Kiwior, allowing Gabriel Magalhaes a break. Ben White should continue as Arteta doesn’t have any alternative right-back option available at the moment amid the injury absence of Jurrien Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu. Oleksandr Zinchenko may remain in the left-back position for the North London club.
Jorginho is likely to commence in the deep-lying playmaker position in place of Declan Rice for Arsenal, while Kai Havertz could continue in the box-to-box role. Martin Odegaard is expected to be in the advanced midfielder role for Arteta’s side.
Thomas Partey and Fabio Vieira are set to remain sidelined owing to their respective injuries. Emile Smith Rowe has returned to full training after recovering from his issue so it remains to be seen whether he will get involved tomorrow.
Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka could be given a breather in midweek and in place of them, Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson could commence on either flank for the Gunners. Eddie Nketiah could be given a nod ahead of Gabriel Jesus to start in the number nine position for Arteta’s side against PSV tomorrow.
