Arsenal keen on signing West Ham star Mohammed Kudus
Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus this summer, as per the Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The 23-year-old burst onto the scene after displaying promising performances during his time with Ajax Amsterdam. Having been impressed by the Ghanaian’s displays, the Gunners opted to register their interest in signing him last summer. But, the Hammers eventually managed to secure his signature.
However, according to the report by Fichajes, although Arsenal failed to purchase Kudus last year, they remain interested in him and could make a concrete approach to secure his signature during the off-season.
But, the report claims that Chelsea are also interested in him and they are ready to spend a fee of around £38m to purchase him. Fichajes states that Arsenal can’t spend that much money without raising funds by selling some players so it will be difficult for the Emirates Club to get any potential deal done for him.
The report also says that if Arsenal can eventually purchase Kudus then it will be one of the ‘biggest bombshells’ signings of the Premier League’s transfer market this summer.
Kudus to Arsenal
Having joined West Ham last summer, Kudus has established himself as a key member in David Moyes’ starting eleven this term. Even the industry’s top experts on 1xbet website were evaluating Kudus’s role in West Ham as one of the main reasons for their success
The 23-year-old – valued at around £38m by Transfermarkt – still has more than four years left in his current contract. So, West Ham are in no rush to sell their star man this summer and Arsenal will have to offer a lucrative proposal to persuade the Hammers to cash-in.
Kudus is a versatile player as he is comfortable playing in the right-wing position, but can also play in the number ten role and the centre-forward position. He is quick, strong, technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, can deliver excellent crosses from the wide areas, has an eye for scoring goals from distance and also works extremely hard without possession.
The African is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to become a top-class forward in future. In addition, he would be an excellent option to support Bukayo Saka.
So, Kudus would be a great coup for the North London club if they purchase him. However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the Emirates club eventually opt to make a concrete approach to secure his signature in the upcoming transfer window.
