Confirmed line-ups: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal – Tomiyasu & Odegaard start
Arsenal will be looking to book their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League when we take on Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena this evening.
It’s been a frustrating week for Arsenal as our Premier League title charge was derailed following Sunday’s shock 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa. That loss came after the 2-2 draw with Bayern in the first leg of our quarter-final at the Emirates last week.
Mikel Arteta is now demanding a response from his players when we take on the German giants tonight. The boss has made three changes from the side that lost to Villa.
David Raya keeps his place between the sticks while Ben White starts at right-back once again. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes continue their partnership in the middle of Arsenal’s defence and Takehiro Tomiyasu gets the nod at left-back.
Jorginho is recalled to start in the holding role with Declan Rice moving into the No.8 role. Skipper Martin Odegaard has recovered from a minor knock that he sustained at the weekend to start for Arsenal tonight.
Bukayo Saka lines-up on the right flank once again while Gabriel Martinelli is recalled to start on the left with Leandro Trossard making way. Gabriel Jesus also drops to the bench with Kai Havertz starting up front.
These are the line-ups:
Arsenal
Raya, White, Gabriel, Saliba, Tomiyasu, Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice, Saka, Havertz, Martinelli.
Subs: Ramsdale, Hein, Partey, Jesus, Smith Rowe, Nketiah, Kiwior, Trossard, Vieira, Nelson, Elneny, Zinchenko.
Bayern Munich

Subs: Peretz, Ulreich – Upamecano, Kim, Choupo-Moting, Zaragoza, Müller, Tel en Pavlovic.
