Arsenal ‘showing strong interest’ in signing Dusan Vlahovic

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic this summer, as per the Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale.

It has widely been reported that the Gunners are prioritising strengthening their frontline by signing a new striker in the upcoming window. Several names have been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium over the last few weeks with Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres being among them.

However, the story about Vlahovic’s potential move to the North London club has started to gather pace in recent times. Arsenal hold a long-term interest in the Serbian as they tried to purchase him back in 2022. However, the forward eventually opted to join the Bianconeri, rejecting a potential move to the Emirates Stadium.

But, it seems despite failing to purchase him last time around, Arsenal haven’t given up on their hopes of signing him and are now planning to secure his signature in the upcoming window.

Speaking on TV Play’s Ti Amo Calciomercato,(via Calciomercato.it), Di Natale – who is close to the Bianconeri – has reported that Arsenal have started ‘showing serious interest’ in signing Vlahovic and they could make a concrete approach in the upcoming window.

The journalist further claims that Juventus have been in talks with Vlahovic to keep the player but if they can’t reach an agreement before the end of this season then there is a possibility that the forward could leave this summer. So, if that were to happen, then Arsenal could manage to secure his signature to reinforce their frontline.

Di Natale said:

“I know that the contacts are positive and there are good chances of a conclusion like for Vlahović, for whom Arsenal are showing strong interest from England. Juve and Vlahović will have to find an agreement and ensure that both parties are satisfied. If they don’t reach an agreement within the summer window, Vlahović can enter Juve’s transfer window and ensure that he can be one of those exits that Giuntoli has in mind this summer.”

It has recently been reported that Juventus could demand a fee of around £52m to let their star man leave this summer so Arsenal can manage to sign him for a reasonable fee.

Vlahovic is a highly talented striker and possesses the necessary attributes to flourish his career at the highest level. So, he would be a great coup for Arsenal if they eventually manage to secure his signature in the upcoming window.
