Confirmed line-ups: Bournemouth vs Arsenal – Saka ruled out, White returns
Arsenal are back in Premier League action following the international break as we take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium this evening.
Mikel Arteta has been dealt a huge blow with the news that Bukayo Saka misses out today after failing to recover from a hamstring injury that he picked up while away with England. Raheem Sterling is preferred ahead of Gabriel Jesus to come-in for Saka on the right wing.
There is some good news as Ben White returns from a knee injury to start at right-back. Jurrien Timber remains out but Oleksandr Zinchenko is back in the squad after overcoming a calf injury – the Ukrainian international is on the bench with Riccardo Calafiori at left-back.
Mikel Merino makes his full Arsenal debut as he starts in midfield alongside Declan Rice and Thomas Partey. Gabriel Martinelli is only fit enough for a place on the bench with Leandro Trossard starting in attack along with Kai Havertz.
Here are the teams:
Arsenal
Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori, Merino, Partey, Rice, Sterling, Havertz, Trossard
Subs: Setford, Kiwior, Zinchenko, Jorginho, Lewis-Skelly, Jesus, Martinelli, Kabia, Nwaneri
