Arsenal are reportedly planning to make a surprise swoop to sign AC Milan star Christian Pulisic, as per Caught Offside.

After joining Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund back in 2019, the 26-year-old struggled to find his feet in the Premier League but he won the Champions League trophy at Stamford Bridge under Thomas Tuchel.

Having failed to find regular first-team football at the Blues, the American eventually decided to leave to play regularly and develop his career and joined the Rossoneri last year.

Upon moving to San Siro Stadium, Pulisic enjoyed a promising debut campaign in Serie A last term, making 20 goal contributions in 36 league appearances. He even helped his side finish second in the league.

Now, Milan have had a tough start to this season under new manager, Paulo Fonseca, but Pulisic has been in stellar form, scoring seven goals and registering five assists in 15 appearances in all competitions.

Pulisic to Arsenal

Caught Offside states that Arsenal are interested in signing the forward after being impressed by his recent displays for Milan and could make a concrete approach next year.

Fonseca’s side don’t want to sell the former Chelsea star but could change their stance if they receive an offer of around £54m. Pulisic could even be ready to join Arsenal as they have now established themselves as an existing destination under Mikel Arteta’s guidance.

However, the report says that Manchester United and Liverpool are also keen on purchasing him thereafter, it will be difficult for the North London club to sign the forward.

Pulisic’s current deal will run until 2027 with Milan so the Italian giants aren’t in any rush to sell him in 2025.

The Milan star is a versatile player as he can play on either flank and is also comfortable in the attacking midfield position. He is quick, technically sound, can link-up the play, has the ability to dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas and also works hard without possession.

Arsenal have struggled to score goals in recent matches before this November international break so adding more firepower in this position would be the right decision. However, it remains to be seen whether the North London club sign Pulisic next year.
