Arsenal predicted line-up against Manchester United
Arsenal had an inconsistent start to this season but following the November international break, they have started looking at their best once again at the moment.
In the last three games in all competitions, the Gunners have won all of those with an aggregate scoreline of +10, scoring 13 goals. Therefore, they are currently full of confidence.
The North London club have found themselves behind in the Premier League title race at the moment, sitting nine points behind the table topper Liverpool.
Now, Arsenal will entertain Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in a crucial league fixture tonight and they can’t afford to drop any points at the moment.
United have just changed their manager and are looking rejuvenated so it won’t be an easy affair for the hosts.
Team news
Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori were substituted early in the last game due to potential injury problems so the duo are in doubt ahead of this fixture.
Thomas Partey and Mikel Merino were absent in the last weekend’s game against West Ham United so there are question marks about their availability as well. Moreover, Ben White is also unavailable for selection in this encounter owing to an injury.
Predicted line-up
Mikel Arteta is set to deploy David Raya between the sticks and in front of the Spaniard, William Saliba should start alongside Gabriel with Jurrien Timber and Calafiori likely to be the two fullbacks. So, Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko would be among the substitutes.
Partey should be in the deep-lying playmaker position and in-case he can’t return, Jorginho would keep hold of his place in the starting eleven. Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard are expected to complete the midfield trio.
Bukayo Saka would be on the right flank having displayed an impressive performance against the Hammers last weekend, while Leandro Trossard is expected to be on the opposite side after putting his name on the scoresheet last time out. So, Gabriel Martinelli may feature off the bench.
Kai Havertz could be leading the line for the North London club, in that case, Gabriel Jesus might have to settle for a place on the bench in this crucial fixture.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Man Utd
Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Saka, Havertz, Trossard
