Confirmed line-ups: Fulham vs Arsenal – trio ruled out, Jorginho starts
Arsenal are at Craven Cottage looking to close the gap on Liverpool with a win over Fulham this afternoon.
Unfortunately, Mikel Arteta has been dealt a major blow in defence as Gabriel Magalhaes, Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko have all been forced to miss the game – joining Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu on the sidelines.
The injury criss in defence means Thomas Partey is forced to start at right-back with Jurrien Timber moving across to left-back. Jacub Kiwior keeps his place alongside William Saliba in the middle of Arsenal’s defence.
Jorginho starts in midfield along with Declan Rice while Martin Odegaard captains Arsenal once again this afternoon.
Bukayo Saka will be the main man in attack for Arsenal while Leandro Trossard keeps his place on the left flank ahead of Gabriel Martinelli. Kai Havertz leads the line up front for Arsenal so Gabriel Jesus remains on the bench.
For Fulham, Bernd Leno, Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe all start against their former team. On-loan attacker Reiss Nelson isn’t allowed to play against his parent club.
These are the teams:
Arsenal
Raya, Partey, Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Jorginho, Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Trossard, Havertz.
Subs: Neto, Tierney, Lewis-Skelly, Heaven, Merino, Nwaneri, Martinelli, Sterling, Jesus.
Fulham

Subs: Benda, Castagne, King, Cuenca, Pereira, Sessegnon, Godo, Wilson, Muniz
