Arsenal predicted line-up against Ipswich Town
Arsenal will face off against Ipswich Town in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium tonight.
The North London club are currently fourth in the league with 33 points from 17 games, sitting six points behind the table topper Liverpool – who have a game in hand.
The Gunners will be coming into this encounter off the back of a 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace and they will have to continue the winning run to stay in the title race.
On the other hand, Ipswich have had a tough first half of this season after gaining promotion. They are currently 19th in the league with 12 points from 17 games, sitting three points behind the safety.
Team news
Bukayo Saka has picked up a hamstring issue and is set to remain sidelined for many weeks, while Raheem Sterling has sustained a knee injury and as a result, he will also be out of action for a few weeks.
Moreover, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also not in contention to feature in this fixture owing to their respective problems.
Predicted line-up
David Raya has been in fine form in recent times and he should be in goal for the North London club. In front of the Spaniard, Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba are set to be the centre-back pairing. Jurrien Timber may keep hold of his place in the right-back position and Myles Lewis-Skelly should commence on the left. So, Riccardo could get involved as a substitute.
Thomas Partey is expected to be in the holding midfield position and Declan Rice could start alongside him. So, Jorginho and Mikel Merino will have to settle for a place on the bench. Martin Odegaard should continue in the attacking midfield position, therefore, Ethan Nwaneri will be among the substitutes.
Amid Saka’s absence, Gabriel Jesus could start on the right and Leandro Trossard might be on the opposite side. In that case, Gabriel Martinelli will feature off the bench.
Kai Havertz would return to his preferred false nine role after starting in midfield versus Crystal Palace last time out.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Ipswich Town
Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Jesus, Havertz, Trossard
