Arsenal can move to within three points of leaders Liverpool with a win over Brighton at the Amex Stadium tonight.

The Gunners kept the pressure on with a deserved 3-1 win at Brentford last time out and Mikel Arteta will want to continue our recent form with another win on the South Coast this evening.

David Raya keeps goal once again for Arsenal but Arteta is limited in options at right-back with Jurrien Timber suspended. Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain on the treatment table so Thomas Partey drops into defence.

William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes continue their partnership in the middle of Arsenal’s defence while Riccardo Calafiori keeps his place ahead of Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back.

Jorginho is recalled to start in midfield alongside Declan Rice and Mikel Merino. Surprisingly, Martin Odegaard drops to the bench. Ethan Nwaneri keeps his place on the wing while Leandro Trossard comes in for Gabriel Martinelli.

Gabriel Jesus starts up front once again for Arsenal but there is no Kai Havertz as he misses out for the second consecutive game.

These are the teams:
