Arsenal Monitoring Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman
Arsenal are reportedly keeping close tabs on France and Bayern Munich attacker Kingsley Coman, according to former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown via Football insider.
The Gunners have struggled significantly in front of goal this season. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have been far from their best, while star forward Bukayo Saka is sidelined for an extended period following surgery on a hamstring tear.
The 28-year-old French international boasts extensive experience, having played in some of Europe’s top leagues, including Ligue 1, Serie A, and the Bundesliga. Coman has also enjoyed immense success at the club level, highlighted by winning the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League, where he scored in the final.
Arsenal’s Interest in Coman
According to Mick Brown, Arsenal have sent scouts to Germany to monitor the French forward as they look to bolster their attack. Mikel Arteta’s side has struggled to convert chances, and the Arsenal manager has expressed his desire to bring in players who can transform the team’s fortunes. Kingsley Coman’s technical ability, pace, and winning mentality make him an appealing target.
Having had an estimated market value of £29m (transfermarkt) the Bundesliga-based attacker may find himself tempted by a fresh new chapter away from Germany, possibly in England. Add to that the opportunity to be a key player at Arsenal, and the prospect of fighting for big trophies, the move to Arsenal could be very appealing to Coman.
The Gunners have also been linked with other forwards, including Nico Williams, Bryan Mbeumo, and Marcus Rashford, as Arteta searches for solutions to reignite Arsenal’s offensive firepower.
Kingsley Coman’s decorated career includes two Ligue 1 titles, a French League Cup, and a French Super Cup with PSG; two Serie A titles, an Italian Cup, and an Italian Super Cup with Juventus; and an incredible eight Bundesliga titles, six German Super Cups, three German Cups, a Champions League trophy, and a FIFA Club World Cup with Bayern Munich.
His wealth of experience, combined with his technical abilities, could provide a transformative impact for the Gunners as they continue their pursuit of the Premier League title. Arsenal’s ambitions may hinge on securing a player of Coman’s caliber to strengthen their squad and reignite their title charge.
