Arsenal are ready to launch a bid to sign Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram, according to TVplay. It, via GiveMeSport.

The Gunners have endured a frustrating season, struggling with serious injuries and lackluster performances in front of goal. Arsenal currently only boast of attacking options like Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, Raheem Sterling, and Leandro Trossard, and inconsistency and poor form have plagued their frontline.

Mikel Arteta is desperate to sign another attacker before the January window closes and has identified Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram as a potential solution to their scoring woes.

The Spanish coach is hoping a new forward will boost their Premier League title ambitions as Arsenal currently trails Liverpool by six points, with the Reds holding a game in hand.

Marcus Thuram to Arsenal

Arsenal’s attacking options have been significantly weakened due to injuries. Bukayo Saka is sidelined until March, while Gabriel Jesus has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a devastating anterior cruciate ligament tear.

Thuram has now emerged as a serious target and according to TVplay via GMS, the Gunners are ready to submit an offer to sign the French international. The reports suggest that Inter would find it hard to turn down £60m but would be reluctant to let Thuram leave in the winter window.

Thuram has been instrumental for Inter Milan this season. The French forward has scored 13 goals and provided a further 6 assists in 20 Serie A games, making him one of the most potent strikers in Italy.

A signing like Thuram would undoubtedly bolster Arsenal’s attacking firepower and strengthen their chances of overtaking Liverpool in the title race.

In addition to Thuram, Arsenal has been linked to several other attacking players across Europe, including Benjamin Šeško, Bryan Mbeumo, Nico Williams, and Matheus Cunha.

With the January transfer window open, Arsenal are keen to reinforce their squad to remain competitive in their quest for silverware this season and Thuram would be an excellent addition if they could get a deal done.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will host Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb on January 22 in the Champions League. A victory would bring them closer to securing a spot in the Round of 16, lifting the mood within the squad and fans alike.
