Dusan Vlahovic

Arsenal have reportedly shifted their focus to Juventus center-forward Dusan Vlahovic during the closing stages of the window, according to Football London.

The Gunners secured a stunning 5-1 victory over Manchester City on Sunday, but their need for a striker remains evident. If they are to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title, reinforcements in attack will be crucial.

Arsenal have been linked with a number of players but Vlahovic has emerged as a late target as Mikel Arteta looks to seal a late swoop. Vlahovic’s contract extension talks with Juventus have stalled, attracting the attention of several top clubs.

The Serbian forward’s uncertain future has alerted Arsenal, who are keen to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes.

With Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka out with long-term injuries, Arsenal must strengthen their squad if they hope to keep pace with Liverpool in the title race. Depth in attack will be key, and Vlahovic could provide the firepower they need.

 Arsenal’s Pursuit of Vlahovic

The Gunners have struggled to land some of their top attacking targets, as clubs continue to demand hefty transfer fees or refuse to part ways with key players.

Mathys Tel, another player on Arsenal’s radar, is edging closer to a move to North London rivals Tottenham, while a deal for Ollie Watkins appears increasingly unlikely as the transfer deadline looms.

Mikel Arteta has been a long-time admirer of Vlahovic. The Arsenal boss made an attempt to sign the Serbian striker in 2022, but Vlahovic opted for a move to Juventus instead. Now, Arsenal are once again interested in securing his services.

According to the report, Arsenal are eyeing a last gasp move for Vlahovic and Juventus would be willing to part ways for £50 million.

The 25-year-old has netted eight goals in 1,365 Serie A minutes this season, showcasing his ability to be a consistent goal threat.

Since joining Juventus from Fiorentina in 2022, Vlahovic has established himself as one of the top strikers in Italian football.

If Arsenal succeed in signing him, he could prove to be a valuable addition to Arteta’s squad, strengthening their attacking options for the remainder of the season.

Arsenal will face Newcastle on February 5 in the crucial second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final, aiming to overturn a two-goal deficit from the first leg at the Emirates.
