Arsenal predicted line-up vs Manchester United
Arsenal will travel to Old Trafford to face off against Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners have found it difficult to score goals in the Premier League in recent matches but will be coming into this game off the back of an emphatic 7-1 victory over PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.
Mikel Arteta’s side are currently second in the table with a 13-point deficit from league leaders Liverpool. Therefore, it is almost impossible for them to win the title this season.
On the other hand, Man Utd have had a woeful campaign this season and are currently in the bottom half of the table.
Team news
Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz’s season is already over due to their injury problems, while Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have been out and are set to remain sidelined for this game as well.
Myles Lewis-Skelly was suspended against Nottingham Forest having picked up a red card against West Ham United but is available for selection this weekend.
Predicted line-up
David Raya is set to continue between the sticks and in front of the Spaniard, Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba should be the centre-back pairing for the North London club.
Jurrien Timber may keep hold of his place in the right back position, while Riccardo Calafiori could be recalled to start on the opposite side. Therefore, Ben White and Lewis-Skelly would have to make do with a place on the bench.
Thomas Partey is likely to be in the holding midfield position, while Declan Rice should be the No.8. Martin Odegaard would continue in the attacking midfield position. So, Jorginho is set to be among the substitutes.
Arteta doesn’t have many options available at his disposal at the moment to rotate in the attacking department, therefore, Leandro Trossard might be on the left.
Ethan Nwaneri should be on the opposite side having displayed impressive performances in recent games. Mikel Merino is expected to continue in the centre-forward position after putting his name on the scoresheet last time out. So, Raheem Sterling could feature off the bench.
Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Man Utd
Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Trossard, Merino, Nwaneri
