Arsenal Face Competition for Juventus Star Cambiaso
According to reports from TuttoMercatoweb, Arsenal are among several Premier League clubs monitoring Andrea Cambiaso before the summer transfer window opens.
The Juventus left-back has impressed in Serie A, making him a target for some of Europe’s biggest teams.
Manchester City are the favourites to sign Cambiaso, but Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also reportedly in the race.
Juventus are reluctant to sell and could demand around £54 million for the Italian defender, as per the report.
If a move happens, it would be one of the most significant sales in recent years.
The 25-year-old has been a key player for Juventus this season, featuring in 35 matches and nearly 2,500 minutes.
His consistent performances over the past 18 months have made him one of the best full-backs in Serie A.
Arsenal could look to strengthen their Defence
Juventus secured Cambiaso’s future last year by giving him a five-year contract. The club rejected Manchester City’s £54 million offer in January, showing their determination to keep him.
Despite their struggles in Serie A, they view him as an essential player for the future.
While Arsenal are focusing on strengthening their attack, adding a left-back could also be on their summer agenda.
Arsenal’s young talent Myles Lewis-Skelly has impressed this summer, and they already have Ricardo Calafiori, but Mikel Arteta wants another left-back to strengthen the squad.
Cambiaso’s versatility makes him a valuable option, as he can play on either side of the defence.
Pep Guardiola remains keen on signing him, especially after missing out in January.
The City boss is impressed by his technical ability, intelligence, and ability to adapt to different tactical systems. His playing style would suit the City’s fluid approach.
On the international stage, Cambiaso has become a key player for Italy. He has been a regular starter in their defence and continues to gain experience at the highest level.
Juventus’ current position in the league could impact their summer transfer decisions.
They recently sacked manager Thiago Motta, which may influence Cambiaso’s future.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal, Manchester City, or Bayern Munich can tempt him away.
