Arsenal eye Dusan Vlahovic as striker plans summer move
Arsenal are once again considering signing Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus according to reports from Gazzetta.it . The Serbian striker wants to get back to his best to attract Premier League clubs.
His future is uncertain as talks over a new contract with Juventus have stalled.
Vlahovic’s current deal runs until 2026, but Juventus feel his £10 million yearly wage is too much.
Rumours about a summer transfer are growing since they have not agreed on a new deal. He has struggled for consistency since his £66 million move from Fiorentina in 2022 but has still managed 14 goals this season.
At times, Vlahovic has shown the finishing ability that once made him one of Europe’s most wanted young strikers.
Arsenal have found it hard to score goals this season, making a new striker a top priority. Their current forwards have not been sharp enough, so the club need to strengthen their attack.
With a new Sporting Director in charge, Arsenal are expected to be more active in the transfer market. A big-name striker signing now seems very likely in the summer.
Several Clubs in the Race for Vlahovic
Juventus’ money problems could force them to sell Vlahovic. Reports say he could be available for around £37 million, which is a tempting price for interested clubs. But Arsenal are not the only ones keeping an eye on him.
Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Chelsea are also watching closely according to the report. Newcastle’s interest may depend on whether they sell Alexander Isak.
Manchester United, on the other hand, are looking for a reliable striker to support Bruno Fernandes.
Vlahovic’s strength and ability to hold up play make him a good fit for the Premier League.
He is determined to keep his starting spot under coach Igor Tudor. The rest of the season gives him a chance to prove himself and attract more interest.
Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the 25-year-old, but he seems more interested in a move to England.
If he finishes the season strongly, Arsenal could step up their efforts to sign him.
