Arsenal - Martinelli and saka

Arsenal will visit Goodison Park to face Everton in the Premier League today at lunchtime.

The Toffees are set to leave this historic stadium to play in a new venue from next season so this is going to be the Gunners’ final trip to this ground.

Mikel Arteta’s side will be coming into this game off the back of a 2-1 victory over Fulham and will be hoping to continue their momentum in this fixture before next week’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid.

Arsenal only managed to come away with a 0-0 draw versus the Merseyside club earlier this season.

Team news

Arsenal have struggled with injury problems throughout this season and have struck with fresh problems recently. Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu’s season is already over due to their issues, now, Gabriel Magalhaes has also picked up an injury that will keep him out until the end of this season.

Jurrien Timber also picked up a knock last time out against Fulham so there is a question mark about his availability in this game, while Ben White is in doubt as well.

Moreover, Riccardo Calafiori isn’t in contention to feature owing to his knee problem, but thankfully, Bukayo Saka has returned to full fitness after recovering from his hamstring injury.

Predicted line-up

David Raya is likely to be between the sticks, while William Saliba might be paired up with Jakub Kiwior in the centre-back position amid Gabriel’s absence. Timber could be fit enough to start in the right-back position and Myles Lewis-Skelly should be on the opposite side for Arsenal.

Thomas Partey is set to continue in the defensive midfield position. On either side of him, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard would commence and complete the midfield trio. In that case, Jorginho will have to make do with a place on the bench.

Saka scored in his return last time out following a long injury layoff and could be called upon to start today. Gabriel Martinelli is expected to be in the left flank, while Mikel Merino might be in the centre-back position. Therefore, Ethan Nwaneri and Leandro Trossard should feature off the bench.

Expected Arsenal line-up vs Everton

Raya; Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Saka, Merino, Martinelli
