Wenger Confirms Midfielder Return + Coquelin & Wilshere Update
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey is back in the squad to face QPR plus he gave an update on Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin and Mathieu Flamini.
We travel to Loftus Road on Wednesday and Arsene has confirmed at his pre-match press conference this morning that Ramsey is back in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury.
The Welshman has been on the sidelines for over three weeks but returned to training on Friday and is now likely to start in the middle of the park tomorrow.
The boss also revealed that Coquelin could still play despite breaking his nose against Everton on Sunday afternoon. We’ll make a late check on the Frenchman but if he does play then he’ll wear a protective mask.
Jack Wilshere is still out for a ‘few days’ while he recovers from a minor procedure to remove two buttons from his ankle but he’s unlikely to be back in time to face Manchester United in the FA Cup on Monday.
Flamini was supposed to have returned to full training last Friday but the boss is now saying he will miss the next two games against QPR and United.
Here’s what Arsene has been telling reporters this morning:
