Arsenal handed triple boost as trio train ahead of Hull
According to the Football London, Arsenal have been handed a triple boost with Hector Bellerin, Lucas Perez and Mohamed Elneny all able to take part in training today ahead of our clash with Hull City.
Bellerin was knocked unconscious during our 3-1 defeat at Chelsea last weekend after Marcos Alonso caught him in the face with a raised elbow when he headed home the opening ‘goal’.
The 21-year-old was immediately replaced by Gabriel and Arsene Wenger revealed after the game that Bellerin didn’t know the score when he regained consciousness.
The club have followed the FA guidelines for any player who’s suffered a head injury after giving Hector six days off following the incident and he’s been given daily check-up by the doctor.
However, Football London claim that Bellerin was given the all-clear to return to full training today and he’s now in contention to start against Hull at the Emirates tomorrow.
Lucas Perez missed the Chelsea defeat due to a minor ankle injury but thankfully the Spaniard has made a swift recovery and he could return to the squad this weekend after taking part in training today.
In a triple boost, Mo Elneny has also been out on the training pitches with his Arsenal team mates this afternoon after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Elneny suffered a minor calf injury while away on international duty but came through last weekends final in Gabon – where he scored the opening goal – without issue and is in contention to face Hull.
His return is a timely one as we have limited options in midfield with Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla injured while Granit Xhaka will serve the final of his four-game ban.
