Arsenal’s 3 top targets revealed as Wenger targets triple swoop
According to the Mirror, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has identified Kylian Mbappe, Alexandre Lacazette and Thomas Lemar as his three top transfer targets this summer.
Wenger is gearing-up for arguably the most important summer of his 21-year reign at Arsenal as the boss looks to build a squad capable of competing for major honours after missing out on the top four last season.
Signing a top class striker appears to be his priority and the Mirror claim that Lacazette is once again a top target as Wenger has renewed his interest after missing out last summer.
Lyon are seemingly ready to cash in on the French international and the Telegraph claim that they’ve told Arsenal officials that they want £48.7m up front with a further £10.6m coming in additional add ons.
Lacazette has just come off the back of a superb campaign that saw him score 37 goals in all competitions so he’d certainly provide a much needed threat at the focal point of our attack if we do manage to lure him to the Emirates.
That won’t be easy but if we thought the competition for Lacazette was bad it’s MUCH more fierce for Mbappe as the teenager is the most sought-after player in European football right now.
The 18-year-old burst on to the scene with 26 goals and 14 assists to help fire Monaco to the Ligue 1 title last season and the widespread reports earlier this month claimed we’d seen an opening £87m offer rejected.
Monaco are believed to want well in excess of £100m for Mbappe and with the likes of Real Madrid and several other Premier League clubs in the running, it’s going to be a tough task to win the race without Champions League football.
A wide attacker is also seemingly on Wenger’s agenda with the Mirror claiming that Monaco’s Lemar is the bosses prime target ahead of Leicester’s want-away Riyad Mahrez.
Lemar was excellent for Monaco last season and is a huge talent so I’d love to see him join the club this summer – although he could be seen as more of a risky signing than Mahrez as the Algerian has proven himself in the Premier League.

I’m sure the boss has plenty of back-up’s lined-up but these are the three players the Mirror claim he’s aiming for this summer and it’s going to take some serious money to land our targets.
With Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil among the players tipped to leave Arsenal this summer our attack could have a very different look next season.
I personally hope Wenger is looking to ADD these players to Sanchez and Ozil but realistically we aren’t going to buy all of Lacazette/Mbappe/Lemar if our star duo remain, so they must be viewed as potential replacements.
