[Photo] New signing trains with Arsenal first team ahead of debut against Swansea
Arsenal’s latest signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been training with his new team mates today ahead of making his debut against Swansea tomorrow night.
Mkhitaryan completed his move to Arsenal last week as part of a swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez joining Manchester United on a lucrative contract.
The Armenian international was forced to sit out our Carabao Cup semi final victory over Chelsea last Wednesday as he was ineligible for the competition having featured for United in a previous round.
However, Mkhitaryan is now in-line to make his debut for the club as we head to the Liberty Stadium tomorrow night and he’s been training with his new team mates ahead of the game.
It remains to be seen whether the playmaker will start or be introduced from the bench but I hope we see him at some point tomorrow as he has the potential to be an excellent addition to the squad.
Aaron Ramsey is pushing for a recall after recovering from a hamstring injury while Olivier Giroud is also back in contention after regaining full fitness but I don’t think we’ll see him start amid reports linking him with a move away before the transfer window closes.
