[Photos] Arsenal star savages Tottenham rival on social media after NLD turn around
Aaron Ramsey has mocked Eric Dier on social media following the pairs altercation during Arsenal’s 4-2 comeback win over Tottenham in Sunday’s North London Derby.
Dier ‘shushed’ the Emirates crowd after his fortunate equaliser midway through the first half as Bernd Leno allowed his tame header to go straight through him at his near post to make it 1-1 after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had given us a deserved lead.
The Spurs midfielder celebrated in front of the Arsenal fans and it sparked a melee with some of the Arsenal substitutes who were warming up in that corner of the ground with Matteo Guendouzi, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Ramsey in the middle of it all.
It turned in to something of an altercation as both sets of players, benches, coaches and even managers piled-in and Dier was spotted gesturing to Ramsey to ‘sit back down’ on the bench as he made his way back on to the pitch.
A fired-up Ramsey was introduced at half-time with Arsenal somehow losing 2-1 and the Welshman clearly had a point to prove as he put-in an excellent performance that saw him tee-up Aubameyang for the equaliser before assisting Alexandre Lacazette to restore our lead in the 74th minute as we went on to win the NLD 4-2.
Ramsey was quick to jump on social media after the game to mock Dier as he posted a picture of himself on the pitch with a hashtag saying ‘sit down he said’ along with a winking emoji.
The Gunners midfielder also posted a second message praising the great atmosphere and reminding everyone that North London is Red, and it wasn’t a coincidence that Rambo chose a photo featuring Dier.
