Confirmed teams: Arsenal v Burnley: Duo make full debuts for Gunners
Arsenal take on Burnley at the Emirates Stadium in our first home game of the new season this afternoon.
David Luiz is set to make his debut for the club as the Brazilian international replaces Calum Chambers in the back four. It’s harsh on Chambers but Luiz was signed to be a regular so it’s the right call from Emery.
Nacho Monreal, Sokratis and Ainsley Maitland-Niles all keep their places in defence while Matteo Guendouzi and Joe Willock once again start in midfield. However, Granit Xhaka misses out so Dani Ceballos makes his full debut.
Alexandre Lacazette is recalled after recovering from an ankle knock as he joins Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Reiss Nelson in the Arsenal attack so Nicolas Pepe must wait to make his full debut as he’s named on the bench.
Sead Kolasinac returns to the bench alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Gabriel Martinelli but Mesut Ozil is still missing.
Here are the teams:
Arsenal
