Betting preview: Arsenal backed to collect all three points against Watford

Premier League football is back following the international break and Arsenal travel to Vicarage Road to take on Watford on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal were disappointed not to get all three points from the North London Derby two weeks ago, despite coming from 2-0 down to salvage a 2-2 draw. We were by far the better team and had enough chances in the second half to win the game but in the end Unai Emery had to settle for a point.

It means Arsenal sit on seven points from our opening four league games having registered victories over Newcastle and Burnley before going down 3-1 to Liverpool at Anfield so it’s been a solid start to the season.

However, it’s vital we get back to winning ways this weekend when we take on a Watford side who’ll have a new-ish manager in the dugout. Quique Sanchez Flores has been reinstated as boss after replacing Javi Garcia following his dismissal last weekend so the Spaniard will be hoping to have more success during his second spell in charge.

Team news

Emery has received some welcome injury news ahead of the game as he now has every player back in full first team training. Hector Bellerin is closing-in on making his long-awaited comeback from a knee injury while Kieran Tierney is also back in training after recovering from a groin problem. However, neither player is expected to feature on Sunday as they still need time to build-up their match fitness.

Rob Holding could be back in the squad after overcoming a serious knee injury while Granit Xhaka, Joe Willock and Lucas Torreira are expected to be available after recovering from minor knocks picked up during the international break.

As for Watford, they’ll be without influential striker Troy Deeney due to a knee injury.

Betting tips

Arsenal are the even money favourites to win the match this weekend and those odds should tempt plenty of supporters given our strong record against Watford.
