Confirmed line-ups: Standard Liege vs Arsenal: Lacazette & Mavropanos start
Arsenal are in Belgium looking for a win over Standard Liege to secure top spot in Europa League Group F.
It’s not clear how Freddie Ljungberg will set-up the team as he’s picked three centre-backs in Sokratis, David Luiz and Kostas Mavropanos so it could be a back three with Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Bukayo Saka as the wing-backs. Alternatively, he could be playing one of the centre-backs out of position at full-back in a back four.
Joe Willock gets a start in midfield alongside Matteo Guendouzi while Emile Smith Rowe also gets a chance to impress. Reiss Nelson gets a recall and supports Alexandre Lacazette in the Arsenal attack.
Interestingly, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gabriel Martinelli are on the bench so Ljungberg has some firepower if needed.
These are the teams:
Arsenal
Martinez; Sokratis, David Luiz, Mavropanos, Maitland-Niles, Willock, Guendouzi, Saka; Nelson, Smith Rowe, Lacazette.
Subs: Leno, Aubameyang, Chambers, Martinelli, John-Jules, Medley, Olayinka
Standard Liege
Bodart; Fai, Vanheusden, Laifis, Gavory; Carcela, Bastien, Amallah, Cimirot, Mpoku; Emond
Subs: Gillet, Lavalee, Cop, Boljevic, Lestienne, Avenatti, Vojvoda
