[Photos] Willian all smiles as he joins Ozil & Saliba in Arsenal first team training
Willian has been taking part in first team training alongside his new Arsenal team mates at London Colney today.
The Brazilian international joined Arsenal on a free transfer this summer after running down his contract at Chelsea and he’s been getting down to business on the training pitches in north London.
Willian was put through his paces by Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff at Arsenal’s training ground this afternoon as the club step-up preparations ahead of our Premier League opener against Fulham next weekend.
The 32-year-old was joined by compatriot David Luiz at London Colney while fellow new arrival William Saliba was also in training today as he continues to get used to his new surroundings having arrived from Saint-Etienne.
Mesut Ozil was also present today as he looks to get himself back in favour with Arteta after being frozen out of the Arsenal first team set-up during the second half of last season.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was among the squad that took part in training as the striker inches closer to signing a new contract at the Emirates while the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette and Emi Martinez were also present.
Obviously several first team regulars weren’t in training today as they’re off on international duty with their countries so a number of youngsters took part to boost the numbers.
