Expectations for Arsenal’s Season

Arsenal have been a bit out of their depth in the last few seasons. They’ve been out of the title race for virtually 15 years and have lost their status as a regular top four club so have struggled to get into the Champions League for a number of years. However, manager Mikel Arteta has reunited the fan base, got the club believing again and has improved performances on the pitch so there is now genuine belief that Arsenal can get back to where they belong.

Thankfully Arsenal have signed two hugely promising young centre-backs in Gabriel and William Saliba so hopefully they are the answer to Arteta’s problems in defence.

If the Gunners improve at the back then they should be quietly confident of making a real push to get back into the top four this season. The FA Cup win last year proved Arsenal can mix it with the best teams on their day so it’s time for them to do it over the course of an entire campaign. Rivals such as Tottenham and Leicester should be within their sights but Arteta will hope to compete with the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd so this is a season Arsenal fans can certainly be excited for again.
