Team news: Arsenal confirm triple injury blow ahead of Vienna clash
Arsenal have confirmed a triple injury blow with the news that Willian and Dani Ceballos will miss Thursday’s trip to Rapid Vienna while Rob Holding is out for three weeks.
Ceballos completed the full ninety minutes during Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday night but it appears he’s picked up a knock as the club have confirmed Dani will miss tomorrow’s trip to Austria due to a bruised ankle. Thankfully the issue doesn’t sound serious but Ceballos will need to be assessed ahead of Sunday’s clash with Leicester.
Willian was replaced midway through the second half at the Etihad on Saturday and it looks like he sustained a calf problem as the Brazilian has also been ruled out of our Europa League group stage opener. Willian will also need to be checked over to see if he’ll be fit to face the Foxes this weekend.
In a triple blow, Arsenal have also confirmed that Holding is facing around three weeks on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury during the pre-match warm up ahead of Saturday’s defeat to Man City.
However, there is some positive news as the club have revealed that Shkodran Mustafi is back in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury that he picked up during the FA Cup semi-final back in July.

Arsenal have also confirmed that Calum Chambers is back in full training and close to returning to action after recovering from a long-term knee injury that has kept him out for the past 10 months.
The club also revealed some good news on Pablo Mari as he’s now doing light ball work and should resume full training by the end of the month after stepping-up his recovery from an ankle ligament injury.
The final update is for Gabriel Martinelli and the Brazilian attacker is now running outside and doing strength work with the aim of returning to full training by the end of the year.
