Arsenal confirm fresh injury blow as 4 players miss Aston Villa clash

Arsenal will be without four players for today’s Premier League clash with Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.

Reiss Nelson missed Thursday night’s Europa League win over Molde after picking up knee injury in training ahead of the game. Reports at the time said the issue was only minor and Nelson could be back for the visit of Villa on Sunday afternoon.

However, the club have issued an update on Arsenal.com that confirms Nelson will miss the game today but the young winger is expected to resume full training next week so it’s facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Elsewhere, David Luiz is available again after making a successful return from a thigh injury in midweek so the Arsenal squad is in decent shape ahead of tonight’s huge clash with Aston Villa.

Mikel Arteta desperately needs to go into the international break off the back of another win in the Premier League as we currently sit 10th in the table despite last week’s impressive win over Manchester United.
