Arsenal take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in the third round of the FA Cup this evening.
As expected, the boss has rotated his squad with some key players given a rest. Aaron Ramsdale makes way for Bernd Leno in goal while Cedric Soares replaces Takehiro Tomiyasu at right-back. Nuno Tavres is recalled at left-back with Kieran Tierney dropping out while Ron Holding comes in for the suspended Gabriel in the middle of Arsenal’s defence.
With Thomas Partey and Mo Elneny away at the AFCON, Albert Sambi Lokonga starts in midfield while youngster Charlie Patino makes his full debut for Arsenal. Granit Xhaka isn’t involved after testing positive for covid.
Emile Smith Rowe isn’t involved in the squad due to a minor knock so Bukayo Saka keeps his place in the attack alongside Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard.
Alexandre Lacazette is rested so Eddie Nketiah comes in to lead the line up front for Arsenal. There is no Folarin Balogun in the squad after he tested positive for covid.
Youngsters Salah Oulad M’Hand, Mika Miles Biereth and Omari Hutchinson are all included on the bench this evening.
