Arsenal take on Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium this evening looking to make it five wins from their opening five Premier League matches.
Mikel Arteta is still without Thomas Partey due to a thigh injury while Mohamed Elneny has also been ruled out so Albert Sambi Lokonga is recalled to make his first start of the season.
Oleksandr Zinchenko was back in training on Tuesday after missing the win over Fulham at the weekend with a knee problem but he’s still not deemed fit enough to return so return so Kieran Tierney keeps his place at left-back.
William Saliba has been outstanding for Arsenal this season and the Frenchman keeps his place alongside Gabriel in the middle of the back four. Ben White starts again at right-back after putting in another solid display last time out so Takehiro Tomiyasu remains on the bench.
Bukayo Saka will be looking to impress as he continues on the right flank for Arsenal tonight while Gabriel Martinelli starts once again on the opposite side of attack. Emile Smith Rowe is an option for Arteta from the bench.
Gabriel Jesus has been excellent since joining the club from Manchester City this summer and the Brazilian international keeps his place up front. It means Eddie Nketiah has to settle for a place on the bench again.
Here are the line-ups:
Arsenal
Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tierney; Sambi, Xhaka, Odegaard; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli.
Subs: Turner, Cedric, Tomiyasu, Holding, Smith, Vieira, Smith Rowe, Marquinhos, Nketiah.
Aston Villa
