Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic open to leaving Juventus
Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic is reportedly open to leaving Juventus in the upcoming transfer window, as per The Times.
Following a lengthy knee injury to Gabriel Jesus, the Gunners have seemingly intensified their efforts to sign a new striker next month. The north London club have already been linked with several options ahead of the winter window, with the Serbia international being one of them.
It is an open secret that the Emirates outfit are an admirer of the 22-year-old. It was widely reported before his switch to the Allianz Stadium last winter that Mikel Arteta’s side were keen on signing him but, in the end, the forward opted to sign for the record Serie A champions.
A recent report stated that Arsenal have reignited their interest in signing the highly talented forward and they are pushing hard to purchase him this January. However, the Bianconeri don’t want to let the striker leave in mid-season unless they receive an official proposal of around £70m.
Meanwhile, according to the report by The Times, Vlahovic is now considering moving away from the Old Lady of Turin either in January or next summer amid interest from Arsenal.
Dusan Vlahovic to Arsenal
Since moving to Turin, the youngster has endured difficult times and has failed to emulate his Fiorentina form at the Allianz Stadium. So, it is understandable that he wants to find a new destination.
Arsenal should go all out and make this deal happen if an opportunity arises to sign Vlahovic next year. The youngster would be a great signing as he is quick, strong, good in the air and can finish off his chances. So, he possesses almost every attribute to become a world-class striker.
Hence, Vlahovic would certainly strengthen the squad and would help Arteta in pushing for the title after the new year amidst Jesus’ absence if he were to join the club this winter.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will resume their Premier League campaign on boxing day when they will face off versus city rival West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium before concluding the year with the trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on New year’s Eve.
