Arsenal could reportedly consider making three major acquisitions in this January transfer window, as per the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners are expected to be busy in this winter window and they are looking to strengthen their squad in order to boost their title charge this term.

The north London club are seemingly prioritising bolstering their attacking department early on in the window. It has widely been reported that Mikel Arteta’s side have accelerated their efforts to sign Shakhtar Donetsk forward Mykhaylo Mudryk and they are also keen on luring Atletico Madrid outcast Joao Felix to the Emirates Stadium this month.

Writing on CaughtOffside, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal are currently focused on securing a deal for Mudryk. But, the Gunners could also look to sign a new midfielder later on in the window.

The journalist further states that Palmeiras star Danilo is one of the players who is on Arteta’s radar. However, the Emirates outfit are yet to make a concrete approach to sign the Brazilian. Romano also says that Arsenal are interested in signing Felix and they have already contacted the player’s agent Jorge Mendes over a potential loan move.

Arsenal want to sign a midfielder this January

Apart from Danilo, Arsenal are also linked with a move for Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans and Juventus star Adrien Rabiot to bolster their engine room.

Signing Mudryk appears to be Arteta’s side’s priority in January and Shakhtar are demanding a fee of around £85m to sell their biggest asset.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid are also asking a big fee to let Felix leave this month and a loan move – which also seems quite expensive – is the most likely scenario.

Should Arsenal manage to acquire the services of both Mudryk and Felix this winter then it will be fascinating to see whether Arsenal will have enough financial resources available to bring in a midfielder later this month.

It was earlier reported that Mikel Arteta will be handed only £50m to make new signings this January. However, the club’s hierarchy might have changed their stance and decided to let the Spanish boss bring in more players this month to help boost their surprise title charge.
