Arsenal are reportedly ready to cash-in on Folarin Balogun to raise funds to add more firepower in this transfer window, as per the Evening Standard.

After moving to Stade de Reims on a season-long loan last term, the 22-year-old enjoyed a stellar campaign, scoring 21 goals and registering two assists in 37 Ligue 1 appearances.

Having showcased his talent in the French top-flight, the USA international has been attracting a lot of attention over the last few weeks and it seems Arsenal are looking to take advantage of this situation by selling the player to make the most profit out of his departure.

According to the report by Evening Standard, Arsenal are ready to cash-in on Balogun this summer and have slapped a £50m price tag on his head.

The report further claims that Inter Milan have expressed their interest in signing the forward but they can’t afford to pay that much money. So, they are willing to insert a buy-back clause or sell-on percentage to persuade the Gunners to lower their valuation.

Balogun to leave Arsenal

Arsenal have been busy in this transfer window and have already spent over £200m to strengthen their squad in order to challenge on all fronts from next season.

It has been suggested that Mikel Arteta wants to add more firepower to his squad before the end of this window so the North London club are now set to focus on selling some players to raise funds before making moves to sign new faces.

Balogun is one of the players – who can generate big money for Arsenal. Following Kai Havertz’s arrival, the Gunners are currently well-resourced in their attacking department so they can afford to sell the 22-year-old this summer.

Apart from Balogun, Thomas Partey, Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding have been linked with a move away from the club as well with Granit Xhaka already left to join Bayer Leverkusen.

So, it is going to be interesting to see how much money Arsenal will be able to generate from players’ sales and how many new signings they will eventually opt to make before the end of this transfer window.
