Arsenal plotting swoop for Fiorentina star Mike Kayode

Arsenal have reportedly been keeping a close eye on the development of Fiorentina starlet Mike Kayode ahead of a potential move in the upcoming transfer window, as per the Italian outlet Firenzeviola.it.

After learning his traits at Juventus academy for seven years, the 19-year-old spent some time with lower league teams in Italy before joining Fiorentina’s youth system back in 2021.

Upon moving to the Stadio Artemio Franchi, the youngster has now established himself as a regular member of Vincenzo Italiano’s side’s first-team squad in recent times.

According to the report by Firenzeviola.it, after showcasing glimpses of his talent for Fiorentina in the first few games of this season, Kayode has already started to attract the attention of several big European clubs.

The report further claims that Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on the youngster’s development in recent times and the Gunners’ scouts watched him in action against Cagliari – where he performed extremely well.

However, Firenzeviola.it states that Fiorentina have no intention of selling the 19-year-old just yet and are keen on tying him down into a long-term deal with a salary hike to fend off interest from other clubs.

So, it is likely that Arsenal will face a tough challenge to persuade La Viola to cashing-in on their star man should they formalise their interest next year.

The North London club are always in search of young talents from all around the world to sign them for a bargain deal and let them develop their career at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta has helped several youngsters to flourish in their careers at the North London club in recent years with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka being among them. So, Kayode would find himself in ideal surroundings to develop his career should he moves to the Emirates Stadium.

Kayode is a talented player and possesses high potential. So, he could be a shrewd signing for Arsenal with a view to the long-term future if they purchase him over the coming months.
