Arsenal set to be handed opportunity to sign Moise Kean
Arsenal are reportedly set to be handed the opportunity to sign Juventus star Moise Kean in January, as per the transfer insider Dean Jones.
The Gunners have been contemplating purchasing a new striker in this winter window to bolster their frontline and challenge on all fronts in the second half of this season.
Ivan Toney has been mentioned as the primary option for the North London club, but Santiago Giménez and Victor Osimhen are reportedly on their radar as well.
However, writing on Sports Lens, Jones has reported that Juventus are ready to let Kean leave the club in January and the forward is currently exploring options in the market before choosing his next destination.
The journalist further claims that Kean wants to test himself out in the Premier League once again after his disappointing stint at Everton and his first choice is to play for a London club.
So, Jones states that Arsenal are likely to be handed the opportunity to sign the Italian in January but the North London club might not entertain a move for the forward.
Kean to Arsenal
Having burst onto the scene after displaying promising performances for Juventus, it was thought that the 23-year-old was destined to reach the top. However, following his Everton switch, Kean – valued at around £16m by Transfermarkt – failed to continue his development, and he has been struggling to showcase his best in recent years.
So, it wouldn’t be wise for Arsenal to sign the forward in January to bolster their frontline. Therefore, the North London club would be better off exploring other options to reinforce their frontline this month.
However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Arsenal have been struggling to strengthen their attack in January as all of their primary targets are too expensive for them as their winter budget has been restricted due to FFP regulations.
Therefore, Arsenal may need to wait until the summer to sign a new prolific goal-scorer to reinforce their attacking department.
Meanwhile, following a promising start to this season, Arsenal have struggled to continue their momentum in recent weeks, winning only one out of the last seven games in all competitions. So, the Gunners need to improve their form as quickly as possible to mount a title charge after the winter break.
