Arsenal ready to make significant offer to sign Joshua Zirkzee
According to JuveLive.it, Arsenal are plotting a move to sign Joshua Zirkzee and they are ready to make a ‘significant offer’ for the Bologna striker.
I doubt there is a Gooner out there who is unaware of the club’s ambition to buy a quality striker this year. Arsenal need a top class striker to convert the countless chances they create.
Don’t get me wrong, they’ve been clinical in recent weeks, but let’s be honest: the desire for a world class striker is still obvious. Arsenal have been linked with a number of strikers in recent months, with Joshua Zirkzee emerging as a serious target.
The Bologna striker is on the upswing, with 10 goals and six assists in 29 games this season. And he is more than just a ‘tap in’ striker; many who have seen him praise his technical ability. He can drop and play the playmaker role, linking up with the other forwards. Sometimes you might think he’s playing as a false nine.
At 22 years old, some feel he’s destined for greatness, and Arsenal may believe they can provide the platform for him to realize his full potential.
Arsenal ready to sign Zirkzee
JuveLive.it, which covers Zirkzee’s future from a Juventus perspective, identifies Arsenal as the main candidates to sign the player. According to the Italian publication, Arsenal are prepared to make a ‘significant offer’ for the striker ahead of the summer.
The report suggests that Zirkzee will cost at least £38m, which shouldn’t be a problem for a club with Arsenal’s resources. However, they must act quickly as Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan are also keen on signing the Dutchman – although the Gunners are mentioned as the leading candidates.
It’s fantastic to see Arsenal labeled as a major contender for Zirkzee. But I’m guessing most Gooners reading this are wondering if he’s the one, the ‘super striker’ they’ve been craving.
