Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Brentford – Martinelli out but Zinchenko returns

Arsenal can move top of the Premier League table with a win over Brentford at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

With leaders Liverpool hosting second-placed Manchester City on Sunday, Arsenal need to take advantage and put the pressure on with victory over the Bees today. We can make it eight wins on the spin after extending that run to seven with a hugely impressive 6-0 win at Sheffield United on Monday night.

On-loan goalkeeper David Raya is ineligible to play against his parent club Brentford so Aaron Ramsdale is recalled in goal today. Ben White continues at right-back while William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes line-up in the middle of Arsenal’s back four once again. Oleksandr Zinchenko returns from a calf injury but he has to settle for a place on the bench as Jacub Kiwior keeps his spot at left-back.

Declan Rice starts in midfield once again while Martin Odegaard captains the Arsenal side. Jorginho keeps his place in the holding role after another impressive display last time out so Thomas Partey remains on the bench.

Bukayo Saka is passed fit to start after being forced off during the win over Sheffield United due to illness. However, Gabriel Martinelli has been ruled out after limping off with a nasty cut to his foot at Bramall Lane.

Leandro Trossard is the man who comes in on the left wing while Kai Havertz keeps his place up front. Therefore, Gabriel Jesus and Emile Smith Rowe have to settle for places on the bench.
