Arsenal can go three points clear at the top of the Premier League table if we beat Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium tonight.
Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Wolves saw us move to the top of the league thanks to our superior goal difference over Liverpool. Manchester City are one point behind with a game in hand after playing in the FA Cup at the weekend.
Both our rivals play later this week, so Arsenal have the opportunity to move clear with a win over Chelsea and put the pressure on Liverpool and City.
The boss has freshened things up following the win over Wolves but David Raya keeps his place in goal. Ben White, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes all keep their places in defence. There is a change at left-back with Takehiro Tomiyasu passed fit to return after missing the Wolves game. Jacub Kiwior drops to the bench.
Declan Rice was excellent once again at the weekend and he lines-up alongside skipper Martin Odegaard in midfield tonight. Thomas Partey comes in to make a rare start in the holding role so Jorginho remains on the bench.
Bukayo Saka starts on the right wing once again for Arsenal while Leandro Trossard keeps his place on the opposite flank. Kai Havertz moves up top so Gabriel Jesus drops out.
As for Chelsea, they’re without key man Cole Palmer which is a big boost for Arsenal.
These are the teams:
Arsenal
Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Tomiyasu; Partey, Odegaard, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Trossard.
Subs: Jorginho, Fábio Vieira, Nketiah, Ramsdale, Zinchenko, de Jesus, Kiwior, Smith Rowe, Martinelli Silva
