With Euro 2024 now well underway, the leading betting sites are overwhelmed with punters assessing the latest odds for the tournament and the best casino bonuses. So who do the odds compilers believe Arsenal may sign in the coming months? Here we look at the five players deemed most likely to be lining up at the Emirates next season by the folks who make a business out of getting the odds right.

Viktor Gyökeres

General Odds: 5/4

Implied Probability: 44.44%

As the second-highest scorers in the division, Arsenal could hardly be described as shot shy in 2023/24. However, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah registering only 14 goals between them, the lack of a prolific number nine is the most glaring hole in an otherwise excellent squad. As such, it is no surprise to see a trio of strikers topping this list.

Leading the way is 26-year-old hitman Viktor Gyökeres. Something of a slow burner, the Swedish international exploded into life in the 2021/22 Championship campaign with Coventry. Backing up that 18-goal breakout year with a 222-goal haul in 2022/23, Gyokeres has been even more impressive with Sporting Lisbon in the Portuguese Primeira Liga – hitting a phenomenal 43 goals in 50 appearances in 2023/24. Strong, fast, and a lethal finisher, he looks an excellent fit for the Premier League.

Ivan Toney

General Odds: 7/4

Implied Probability: 36.36%

Despite Gyokeres’ numbers, that lack of a proven Premier League pedigree does pose a small question. Brentford’s Ivan Toney has no such concerns. Two years older than the Sporting man, Toney hit 20 goals in 33 games during his last full Premier League season – much of 2023/24 written off due to his ban. That’s an impressive tally playing for (with all due respect) Brentford, and he would rate a definite upgrade on the existing personnel.

Victor Osimhen

General Odds: 4/1

Implied Probability: 20%

Perennially linked with a move to the Premier League, Osimhen remains at Napoli, having signed a 2023 deal to keep him at the club until 2026. Nevertheless, reports again suggest he will be on the move this summer, with Napoli believed to be on the lookout for around £85m. Electric during Napoli’s 2022/23 title-winning campaign, Osimhen’s size, athleticism and speed could add a significant new dimension to the Arsenal attack.

Ebereche Eze

General Odds: 5/1

Implied Probability: 16.67%

One of the breakout stars in the Premier League over the past couple of seasons, Eze’s preferred left-sided role makes him a less obvious choice for the Gunners, who already have Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Marinelli in the building. Nevertheless, it never hurts to have additional options, and Eze’s ability to switch to a central role may appeal to Arteta.

Bruno Guimaraes

General Odds: 11/2

Implied Probability: 15.38%

The deadline to trigger the Brazilian’s £100m release clause may have passed, but Newcastle fans can’t rest easy just yet, with the club reportedly under real pressure to balance the books. One of the Premier League’s most complete midfielders would be a welcome addition to any of the top four sides, with a cash plus player deal one option of coming close to meeting Newcastle’s valuation of their star man.
