Arsenal remain keen on signing Dusan Vlahovic

Arsenal are reportedly plotting a raid on Juventus to sign Dusan Vlahovic next year, as per a recent Italian report.
The Gunners were thought to be looking to sign a new centre-forward in the summer transfer window. But, despite being linked with numerous names, they eventually opted not to formalise their interest in signing anyone.
Now, as per a recent Italian report (via Tutto Juve), Arsenal are planning to sign a new striker next summer with Vlahovic on their radar. Juventus won’t stop the Serbian from leaving if his potential suitors such as Arsenal submit an offer of around £50m[€60m].
The North London club hold a long-term interest in Vlahovic as they attempted to secure his signature a couple of years ago but the player eventually opted to sign for the Old Lady of Turin. However, the 24-year-old hasn’t been able to develop his career at the Allianz Stadium over the last few years.
Vlahovic to Arsenal
Following Eddie Nketiah’s departure, the North London club have been left with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus as the centre-forward options. However, the Brazilian has found it difficult to stay fit in recent times and hasn’t been able to showcase that he can be trusted to help the club achieve their lofty ambitions.
So, signing a new striker would be the right decision and Vlahovic could be an excellent acquisition if the purchase him. He is quick, strong, good in the air, can finish off his chances and also works hard without possession.
Although the Serbian hasn’t been at his best in Serie A in recent times, he is still very young and has plenty of time on his side to reach his full potential in future.
It is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually opt to make a concrete approach to secure his signature next year to strengthen the frontline.
Meanwhile, after drawing against Atalanta in the opening Champions League fixture of this term last night, Arsenal will face off against the title rival Manchester City on Sunday.
They are two points behind the Citizens – who are currently the league leaders so victory in this encounter means Arsenal will become the table topper.
