Arsenal target Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown for summer move
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt’s left-back Nathaniel Brown, according to reports from TBR Football.
The 21-year-old German defender is attracting interest from several top Premier League clubs ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Arsenal scouts were present to watch Brown during Frankfurt’s recent UEFA Europa League tie against Tottenham Hotspur.
Premier League clubs interested in Nathaniel Brown
According to Graeme Bailey, Arsenal are not the only club monitoring him. Scouts from Liverpool, Manchester City, West Ham and Tottenham were also in attendance.
Brown is currently valued at around £13 million (transfermarkt) and is seen as a rising talent in Germany. He has also represented the German Under-21 side.
Arsenal are expected to be very active in the transfer market, and full-back is one area they want to strengthen this summer.
The Gunners are reportedly preparing for changes in defence, with Oleksandr Zinchenko likely to leave at the end of the season.
Brown could arrive as a direct replacement, offering depth and cover on the left side of the defence.
Brown’s arrival could also reduce the workload on players like Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori next season.
Both players have been called upon in rotation, and bringing in a natural left-back would help balance the squad.
Brown is known for his versatility. He can play as a full-back, push further up the wing, and even operate in midfield when required.
He featured in a more advanced role during the match against Tottenham and impressed those watching from the stands.
Arsenal believe he fits the club’s playing style and could adapt quickly under Mikel Arteta’s system.
For Brown, the chance to join a top Premier League club would be a big step in his career.
Tottenham are also reportedly interested in him, especially with Destiny Udogie struggling for form this season.
Manchester City are keeping tabs on Udogie, which could leave Spurs short in that area.
A move for Brown would make sense for both London clubs, but Arsenal may offer a clearer path to regular minutes.
With the window approaching, clubs will move fast to secure their targets, and Brown’s name is now firmly on the radar.
