Arsenal want Guler & Endrick in a surprise swap deal
Arsenal are reportedly willing to sign Real Madrid duo Arda Guler and Endrick in a surprise swap deal, as per Spanish outlet Fichajes.
After signing for the Gunners from Saint-Etienne back in 2019, William Saliba initially struggled to break into Mikel Arteta’s starting eleven. The Frenchman was primarily purchased by former manager Unai Emery, but he was dismissed soon after.
Saliba went out on loan to several Ligue 1 clubs to play regularly and develop before making his debut for Arsenal in 2022. Since then, the defender has established himself as an undisputed starter for the Emirates club and is considered one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
Now, Fichajes claim that having been impressed by the Frenchman’s displays, Real Madrid have registered their interest in signing him. The North London club don’t want to let him leave for anything less than £86m with his existing deal set to run until 2027.
Los Blancos don’t want to spend that much and Arsenal are ready to lower their valuation only if they get Guler and Endrick in a part-exchange deal.
Guler & Endrick to Arsenal
Real Madrid have no intention of letting those two highly talented youngsters leave and are hoping that Saliba will run down his contract so that they can hire him for cheap next year or for free in 2027.
Guler and Endrick are some of the best young talents in the world and if Arsenal can manage to secure their services then that would be great. Moreover, considering they have been struggling to get regular playing time at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Arteta’s side could persuade them to join.
The Turkish international is valued at approximately £39m by Transfermarkt, whereas Endrick is valued at roughly £34m by Transfermarkt.
However, hiring them at the expense of Saliba won’t be the right decision. The 24-year-old has been the mainstay of Arsenal’s recent impressive performances and losing him at this stage of his career would be a huge blow.
Therefore, Arsenal should do everything in their power to keep hold of Saliba by tying him down to a fresh term. In addition to that, if they can hire the Real Madrid duo then that would be great.
