Arsenal have stepped up their search for a striker ahead of the summer transfer window.

One player high on their list is RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko. Mikel Arteta has admired him for some time.

The Gunners were interested in signing him during the winter of 2025. They decided to wait until summer to make a move instead.

According to German outlet BILD, Arsenal will have to pay over £86 million to sign the 21-year-old forward.

Sesko has become one of the most sought-after young strikers in Europe. His strong form for Leipzig has turned heads across the continent.

He scored 18 goals last season and has already passed that total this term. His contributions have helped Leipzig reach fourth in the Bundesliga.

So far this season, the Slovenian has scored 19 goals and provided six assists.

He is known for his strength in the air and powerful shooting. His style fits what Arsenal are looking for in a forward.

Sesko believes the time is right to take the next step in his career. He wants to join a club with domestic and European title ambitions.

 Arsenal face Premier League rivals

Arsenal are not the only club interested in Sesko. Manchester United and Chelsea are also keeping close tabs on the forward.

All three clubs are expected to be active in the striker market this summer. The race for Sesko’s signature could be fierce.

Arsenal have been short in attack this season. They failed to bring in a forward during the January window.

Kai Havertz also suffered injury setbacks, which added to their problems.

Mikel Arteta has had to rely on Mikel Merino in a more advanced role in recent months.

The club are also monitoring other striker options. Viktor Gyökeres, Hugo Ekitike, and Alexander Isak are among the names being considered.

A decision will be made soon, but Sesko remains one of Arsenal’s top targets as they prepare for a busy summer.
