Arsenal keen on signing Valencia’s Yarek Gasiorowski
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Yarek Gasiorowski from La Liga side Valencia, according to reports from Football Transfers.
Mikel Arteta is believed to be keen on bringing in another defender to strengthen his options for next season. Arsenal have already started exploring potential targets to bolster their backline.
For the third consecutive season, Arsenal have missed out on winning the Premier League title.
Liverpool were crowned champions this time, beating the Gunners in the title race.
Following their disappointment, Arsenal have now turned their focus towards strengthening their squad, especially in defence.
Reports suggest Mikel Arteta has personally requested the signing of Gasiorowski this summer.
The Gunners have already made initial contact with the 20-year-old’s representatives as they plan their summer moves.
Arsenal ready to step up Gasiorowski’s pursuit
Gasiorowski has attracted strong interest from several clubs across Europe’s top five leagues over recent months.
Arsenal are now ready to intensify their efforts to sign him ahead of the next transfer window.
The 6ft 3in defender signed a contract extension with Valencia in February, but his new deal is set to expire in 2027. Despite this, Valencia could consider selling him if they receive a suitable offer.
Gasiorowski was a regular starter for Valencia during November and December.
However, since the arrival of former West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberan on Christmas Eve, his opportunities have been limited.
The Spanish defender has been an unused substitute in each of Valencia’s last ten La Liga matches, but he remains highly rated by many top clubs.
A move to England could give Gasiorowski the chance to continue his development with more regular game time.
Arsenal have a good record of nurturing young players, which could benefit him greatly.
Valued at £10 million according to Transfermarkt, Gasiorowski would represent a long-term investment for Arsenal rather than a short-term solution.
With Arsenal looking to add more depth to their defensive ranks, the 20-year-old could see a move to London as a big opportunity.
His potential to grow into a top Premier League defender under the right guidance makes him an appealing option for the Gunners.
