Wenger Denies Interest In Morata And Pato
Arsene Wenger has dismissed speculation claiming he’s made moves for Alexandre Pato and Alvaro Morata this week.
The boss held his pre-match press conference this morning ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with Hull City and he was predictably quizzed about links with the strike duo.
Recent reports have claimed that Corinthians rejected a £6.6m bid from Arsenal for Brazilian striker Pato, while newspapers this morning are reporting that we’ve agreed a deal to take Real Madrid hitman Morata on a six-month loan in January.
However, Wenger played down these reports, insisting he has not made any contact with Madrid over Morata and also denied any interest in signing Pato.
Wenger says no truth in Alvaro Morata loan deal. "There is no truth in that, that is all I can say. I have not been in touch with them."

Wenger also denies any bid has been made for Alexandre Pato – says there is no interest from #afc.

Of course this will come as no surprise to many Arsenal fans, as Wenger rarely gives much away when it comes to transfer targets, so we’ll just have to see how things progress over the coming weeks to see if anything comes of these rumours.
